4-H Foundation Funding Opportunities

Operating expenses of the Maryland 4-H Foundation are underwritten by Operating Endowments, made in honor of the following families:

  • John M. Curtis
  • Amy Fry Leber
  • F.B. & K.S. Smith
  • Donald E. Bowman
  • Ed & Loretta Downey
  • William & Doris Blaisdell
  • Henry & Barbara Holloway

Current Fundraiser is to achieve a 10% growth in unrestricted gifts annually. These funds are used to cover the expenses for national leadership trips for youth, state-wide programming efforts, and for program events i.e, golf tournament and awards gala.

Maryland 4-H Foundation

The Maryland 4-H Foundation was founded in 1959 with the purpose of supporting national trips, Maryland state 4-H events, Maryland county grants and programs, awards and scholarships, and program endowments. Some of these Maryland 4-H programs include National 4-H Congress and Conference, Animal Science Judging Trips, the State Diamond Clover Program, the Berlage Innovative Grants Program and more.
